This all-ages exhibit tells the early story of Delta music from the field songs and field hollers, to the songs of the enslaved peoples of the Arkansas Delta. This is a story that is the basis for Spiritual music, Gospel music, and the Blues, which even today branches out as a significant influence on the modern music scene, including rock-n-roll.  The story of how slaves used music to transcend the oppression of slavery is told through text, photographs, sound effects, artifacts, and several interactive elements, making for a compelling experience.
