IN CONSIDERATION OF CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS, DURING the advent of the COVID-19 VIRUS, only THE DELTA CULTURAL CENTER'S OUTDOOR HISTORICAL SITES will REMAIN OPEN TO visitors. the Delta Cultural Center's visitors Center and the Depot Museum in downtown helena are closed.  regular operational hours of closed facilities will resume at which time it is considered safe to the public to do so. This park includes one of four earthen batteries erected by the Union army in 1862. This strategic location briefly fell to the Confederates during the Battle of Helena on July 4, 1863. Battery C Park is a self-guided site, but a guided tour may be requested based on staff availability.
